What is Clinical Research?

Clinical research studies help determine the safety and effectiveness of medications, devices, diagnostic products, and treatment regimens intended for human use

IS A CLINICAL TRIAL RIGHT FOR ME?

Choosing to participate in a trial is a personal decision. Discuss the trial with your doctor and loved ones before deciding. Remember that if you participate:

√ You have rights and are protected

√ Your safety is always top priority

√ You may stop participating at any time

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF PARTICIPATING?

√ You will receive regular visits with the doctor

√ You may be the first to benefit from the investigational treatment, if it is found to be effective

√ The investigational drug will be provided at no cost to you and your study visits will be free of charge

√ You may also receive a stipend for each study visit

WHAT ARE THE RISKS OF PARTICIPATING?

√ All treatments have potential side effects, and the investigational drug may have side effects that are not known by the study doctor

√ The investigational treatment may not be as effective as current market drugs

WHO IS ABLE TO JOIN A CLINICAL TRIAL?

Each trial has specific guidelines that determine if you are eligible to participate. These inclusion criteria include:

√ Age/Sex

√ Type of Disease

√ Severity of Disease

Certain comorbidities such as diabetes and heart disease may prevent you from joining a trial. It's important to reach out to the study team to determine if you are eligible.
